Another frugal option is the reduced table at local produce stands. I know that at Norman's Market they cull the fruit and vegetables that they need to sell quickly and make $1 grab bags. This week I got cucumbers for $.25 each (4 in a bag) and tomatoes for $.20 each (5 in a bag). Best times are around 9-10 am and again in the early afternoons.
